In part: "<i>...Whereas doubts have arisen in the minds of some persons respecting a vote of the General Assembly of yesterday settling the wages and allowance of the Delegates for the Continental Congress the ensuing year. Therefore voted & resolved that it is the intent & meaning of the Genl. Assembly that each delegate for this State the ensuing year shall be allowed twenty five shillings pr day, and reasonable wages for his servants, & hire for his horses and all necessary expenses for himself, Servant, & horses for the time he sets out from his own home to join Congress till he returns home again, Sent up for Concurrence John Dudley, Spker, in Council the same day, read & concurred E.
