THREE VERY VINTAGE ADS FROM CHINA:
VINTAGE British American Tobacco Poster/for China
First item is a vintage poster advertising Hatamen Cigarettes; manufactured by the British American Tobacco Co. This poster is probably from sometime between 1920-1940. Poster depicts three Chinese men, enjoying the Hatamen Cigarette. Poster measures 29" x 20 5/8". There is some wear on poster edges. Poster has a few light creases, minor yellowing. Top and bottom edge have a metal strip to reinforce edge. Great vintage advertising poster, rare and collectible!
Second poster is marked GANDE, PRICE & CO.,LTD - Wines, Spirits & Cigars. St. Georges Building. Ice House Street, Hong Kong. Depicts a beautiful woman enjoying various beverages including HAIG Whiskey and Moët (Moet) & Chandon Champagne. Year on the bottle is 1921 so we assume this poster is from that year. Also has TAYLORS London Dry Gin bottle and various wine bottles including MARTELL.
THIRD poster is a Chinese advertising poster from the 30's in Shanghai (time where parts of Shanghai were occupied by foreign concession and Western cultural influence was important). Glossy paper.
This is an advertising from The Central Agency Fabrics Company, a Scotland company from Glasgow. A beautif women , wearing a chinese tunique with flowers, is sitting in a carved chair. Each arm-rest represents a dragon. In the background, we can see a traditional chinese window. Metal bar across bottom of poster is starting to come off the poster. These are typically removed during modern framing anyway. Notice poster is printed by VEE LOO ADVERTISING Co.

You may bid on-line at icollector.com with direct bids.
Payment for won items is expected following completion of the auction, an invoice form will be issued and sent by e-mail from a representative of ONLINE SALES.

For items purchased through iCollector.com, ONLINE SALES. will contact and send an invoice to all winning bidders via e-mail at the completion of the auction.

The purchaser, not ONLINE SALES nor the prior owner of the item, assumes all risks and responsibilities for items purchased at the time the highest bidder is acknowledged by the auctioneer.
Once payment has been made, a SECOND shipping invoice will be sent to the winning bidder. This invoice will include the costs for shipping your winning lot(s) from Minneapolis, MN to the address you desire. The costs will also include packing material such as tubes and envelopes. Any merchandise not paid for in full (total purchase price + buyers premium + shipping fees) will be kept in storage no more than 30 days. After 30 days the merchandise becomes the full and complete property of ONLINE SALES with no exception. Any item not paid for (either/and/or purchase price or shipping fees) will result in an open dispute at iCollector web site - and may limit your future bidding potential on future ONLINE SALES auctions as well as other auction houses. In any case, the purchaser will be liable for any deficiencies, costs, expenses or fees (including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys' fees) incidental to such default. In no event shall ONLINE SALES liability to any purchaser exceed the purchase price actually paid.
