Noted for rooting out corruption among contractors supplying the Continental Army for which he endured two physical assaults. A.D.S. 1p. 4to., Bedford County [Penn.] October, 1779, an indictment against one Hannah Hendrickson for ""...Fornication with a certain person unknown and then and there did permit the said person unknown to beget a Bastard Child..."". Light toning along folds with a few pin holes, otherwise very good.
