SELJUQ OF RUM: Kaykhusraw II (1236-1245), silver dirham (2.94g), mintless type, AH 639. Sun and lion type. Citing Abbasid caliph Al-Mustansir Billah. A-1218 (for general type). Extremely fine. Very rare.
This strange variety carries no mint name on neither the obverse nor the reverse. This is likely a mule using an obverse die of a type carrying the mint in the reverse and a reverse die of a type carrying the mint in the obverse. There are at least six other reported examples.
