A collection of twelve original photographs mounted on cards, several with handwritten captions on back, and dated 1915; showing Scots Guards Royal Regiment soldiers and other scenes in France. Images consist of bombed structures, including Ypres Cathedral (5); trench scenes (3); battlefield/landscape scenes (2); marching (1); and camp scene (1). Photos ranging from 5 1/2in. x 3 7/8in. to 6in. x 3 7/8in. Condition: Generally good, with some fading and surface scratching, darkening/toning at edges. Together with: Three 6 1/4in. x 8 3/8in. news agency photographs of King George V at the dedication of a war memorial at Aberdeen, and inspecting the Guards, September 29, 1925. With blindstamp copyright mark for "The Bulletin" lower right. Condition: Two are good; one with corner crease and 1 1/2in. tear.
