SCARCE ANTI-BRITISH LITHOGRAPH FROM NEW YORK. Hand-colored lithograph depicting British "evils" in the first third of the 19th century, including the burning of the Caroline by Canadian rebels (under Royal Navy command) in U.S. waters. This incident fueled anti-British feelings in the (still disputed) northeast for years. Published by H.R. Robinson, NY, n.d. Print is framed under glass, 10 x 16" visible, one hole near center which does not affect any of the images, light toning, colors still bright; not removed from frame for examination.
