<td width="100%">
Here is an elegant pair of SAMSON BALUSTER VASES and LIDS with Foo dog finials, France 19th Century, which are about 6 1/2" tall. The vases are fine quality SAMSON French porcelain, with brilliant painted details and gilt accents. EDME "ESME" SAMSON is best known for his Chinoisere porcelains, made to compete with the Chinese Export market. She designed incredible replicate and replacement copies with many collectors saying her work was better than the originals. Please see my Samson MORTAR AND PESTLE, number 492546 here on Trocadero.
Dimensions: Height 6 1/2"
Condition: Excellent, on one of the vases. The second vase has damage to the interior lip which can be restored, and does not show on display. See photos. The damaged vase has two small rim chips on the edge of lip rim, and a portion of the upper rim of the vase neck is missing. It is worthwhile restoring this vase as a pair such as this a rare find.
NOTE; DAMAGED VASE DISPLAYS BEAUTIFULLY WITHOUT DAMAGE SHOWING.
