Amsterdam, Isaak Tirion, [ 1732 -] 1733. 6 stukken met doorlopende paginering gebonden in 1 vol. in-8° : gegraveerde titel, [10]-622-[14] pp., 6 tussentitels buiten paginering, 3 uitvouwbare kaarten en 10 platen waarvan 1 op enkele blz., 7 op dubbele blz. en 2 uitslaand (foutieve sprong in paginering van 416 naar 423 en dus volledig). Eigentijdse volperkamenten band, platten met blinde versiering van lijnenkaders en centraal medaillon, titel in penwerk op gladde rug, gesprenkelde sneden (kleine heldere vlek op bovenplat). Eerste uitgave van de Nederlandse vertaling van dit deel gewijd aan de beschrijving van de eilanden in de Egeïsche Zee en de gebiedsdelen in Azië en Noord-Afrika eertijds behorend tot het Turkse Rijk, met ingebrip van Palestina. Dit werk, vertaald uit het Engels en grondig herwerkt door M. van Goch, vormt een zelfstandige aflevering uit Thomas Salmons grote reeks "Modern History or present State of all Nations" dat te London vanaf 1725 in druk verscheen. Het bevat, naast 3 grote uitvouwbare kaarten van het Turkse Rijk, Klein-Azië met Palestina en Azië, een gegraveerde titel en 10 koperplaten door J.C. After full payment, buyers are kindly requested to take away their purchases immediately after the auction or at the bookshop the next Tuesday after the auction 230 av. Louise, from 2 pm until 6 pm.
Goods will be send only after customers’ payment.
Packing and dispatching are entirely at the buyer’s own expense.
Books whose price exceed 3.000 BEF will be send by registered post.

Payment will be made in Belgian Francs. We do not accept credit cards neither cheques whose total amount exceed 7.000 BEF or cheques not validated for higher sum.
Terms of sale require buyers to pay immediately for their purchases, which means that lots will be released to them only when full and cleared payment as been received by us
In addition to the hammer price, the buyer has to pay a buyer’s premium of 21%, V.A.T. inclusive, all strictly in cash and in Belgian francs (BEF).
In case of original art and if the principles of the author’s rights are applicable, an extra 4% must be paid on each hammer price of at least 50.000 BEF.
All items are assumed to be in good condition unless otherwise stated. Buyers are kindly invited to carry out their own inspection of the lots they want to buy. All items to be auctioned are on view for several days prior to the sale.
Returning an item after the striking of the hammer will not be accepted, whatever the reason put forward. Those items bought on order must be inspected within 8 days after receipt. Any return after this term will be refused.
All items of the catalogue with the mention « n.c. » (non collationné = not inspected) are not subject to return. Neither are those sold in lots (two items or more) works consisting in multiple volumes and periodicals or series.
If you cannot attend the auction, we can execute written bids on your behalf. To ensure a satisfactory service, it is necessary to make arrangements for the services at least one day before the sale.
On every purchase Belgian law only is applicable, and all cases of dispute are exclusively to the competence of the Brussels Chamber.
