A scarce mint, Jannaba was a small city located on the coast of the Arabian Gulf. Yaqut Al-Hamawi (AD 1179-1229), in his "Dictionary of Countries", mentions that Jannaba was an important docking city, where people arrived seeking the Fars province as a destination.
