Hungarian-born character actor (1883–1955), known as “Cuddles” because of his rotund build, who appeared in such classic films as Casablanca and In the Good Old Summertime. Vintage pearl-finish 8.5 x 11 close-up photo, signed “Szoke Szakall” in fountain pen with an added sentiment in Hungarian and dated 1933. In very good condition, with corner creases, scratches to the emulsion, tiny specks of missing paper, scattered staining, trimmed edges, and a missing bottom right corner.
