Smith & Wesson No. 2 Old Model Single Action Spurtrigger Revolver, #15699, .32 RF cal., 6-shot non-fluted cylinder, 6'' barrel, smooth rosewood grips, barrel address marked ''Smith & Wesson, Springfield, Mass.''. As over 7700 were mfg'd between 1861-1864, it is our belief that this revolver was mfg'd during the early portion of the Civil War. Records show that the 1864 production serial number cutoff was #29359. This was a popular Civil War sidearm often privately purchased by Army officers. Condition is fair to good retaining little original finish. Matching grips retain approx. 70% original varnish. Action remains crisp, barrel assembly with some play, bore is fair. Est.: $400-$600.
