Smith & Wesson 1st Model Hand Ejector Double Action Revolver (Triplelock), #5245, .44 Spec. cal., 6.5'' barrel, blue finish, lightly pencil numbered matching diamond checkered walnut grips with gold medallions, with lanyard loop in butt. Shipped March 30, 1912 to Cowdrey Exporters, NYC, NY, with factory letter verifying all features, signed by S&W Historian Roy G. Jinks. As Cowdrey was an exporting company, this revolver additionally features British proof marks in all cylinder flutes, and to frame and barrel near forcing cone area. Condition is excellent retaining approx. 96% lightly thinning blue, with minor scratches to cylinder and thinning to backstrap. Case colored hues to hammer are crisp and bright with some discoloration to trigger. Good action, bright bore. Est.: $2,500-$4,000. (C&R/PPT)
