<B>Ruth Plumly Thompson, </B></I><B><I>The Gnome King of Oz</B></I></B></I> (Chicago: The Reilly and Lee Co., 1927), first edition, 282 pages, illustrations, green-cloth binding with black lettering and illustrated cover, 8vo (9.25" x 7"), dust jacket (in protective cover). Ruth Plumly Thompson (1891-1976) continued the "Oz" saga following the death of L. Frank Baum in 1919. <I>The Gnome King of Oz</B></I> (1927) is the seventh of 21 "Oz" novels she completed over a span of 55 years.
