<td width="100%">
Rare Russian painted bisque made in the 1920s-1930s using the Kammer & Reinhardt molds that had been imported to Russia before World War I. Russian bisque is typically a ruddier color and is painted rather than fired. Dolls were produced in Russia's toy making capital Sergiev Possad (formerly called Zagorsk). This doll is a great example, all oriignal mint costume and composition and wood body, floss wig with long braid and leather shoes. A hard to find example of Russian doll art that would be a great addition to your Russian or ethnic collection. From non-smoking seller.
