Enamel & gilt over pewter, the egg opens in the center on a hinge ( with magnetic closure ) to reveal an enameled interior with a small replica of St. Isaac's Cathedral attached by a magnet placed on a pedestal. The tiny building lifts out, & the top is removable to reveal an enameled interior & tiny storage place for trinkets or jewels.  5" H X 2" W X 2 1/2" D.Â
