Collection of ten made-for-space food packages, including two packs of bread (dinner bread and Borodino), crackers, toffee, ‘Russian’ cookies, caramel, marmalade, ‘Vostok’ cookies, a pack of prunes, and apple-peach juice in a tube. In fine condition. The Soviets have transported more than 80 tons of food into space over the past 50 years, graduating from pastes in tubes to freeze-dried ‘home-cooked’ meals. The average cost for a cosmonaut lunch is approximately 18,000 rubles (around $600) for manufacturing alone.
