After the original 1885 The Hen egg created for the Russian Royal Family by Carl Faberge. Enamel & gilt over pewter, with embedded Austrian crystals. The trinket box egg lifts off its ornate gilt stand & opens at center to reveal a plush interior encasing another gilt egg. The smaller egg pulls apart with magnets to reveal an enameled interior with a tiny surprise, a gilt hen, which additionally opens as a tiny trinket, jewel box. 5" H X 3 1/2" W. Comes with gift box. Â
