clouds on a white ground, one side inscribed in gilt Cyrillic
script Kristos Voskrese, the Russian Easter proclamation
for Christ is Risen. The egg has an opening on each
side through
which is threaded an original mauve silk ribbon. These rare
porcelain eggs were created for Easter for suspension near holy
icons<p>
