This fine and rare object of virtue is a vase carved from the hard stone Charoite. It is a silicate borosilicate found only in, Murun Massif, Charo River, Yakutskaya, Russia.

The vase is mounted upon its period ormolu and Mother of Pearl circular base. Russians as well as French during the 18th century through the early 19th century prized and collected rare stones and marbles and lavishly adorned and mounted them in gilt bronze.

Lost wax method was used to create the very fine detail and high quality cast and gilded bronze mounts that are mercury gilded to perfection. The gilding is all original and in tact. Rich matte finish Yellow gold covers the finest of the highly detailed cast and hand chased neoclassical design work along the borders of the circular plinth.
