Obverse with Russian coat-of-arms between those of Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands, all connected together by chain held up by armored, sword-wielding arm; reverse with radiant Eye of Providence at top above the name JEHOVAH and WREEKER DER VERBON DEN, / STAAF KATHARINA'S / HULPVERDRAG; / ZOO BLYF'T ONZYDIG / ZEEGEZAG, / TOT HEYL DER VOLKEN / ONGESCHONDEN:, exergue M.DCC.LXXX. / A.V.BAERLI. A commemoration of the convention on Armed Sea Neutrality between Russia, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands. Unusual as a Russian medal with wording in Dutch. AU with mottled blue and gold toning over bright fields showing some minor hairlines, nicely detailed.
