<B>Nicholas I. Novodel 1-1/2 Family Rouble 1836,</B></I> obverse signed ?.?., reverse unsigned, Bust of Nicholas I right/Bust of Empress Alexandra in the center, facing right, surrounded by busts of the Royal children with no circles, Bit-H889, prooflike UNC. Sharply struck with fully mirrored surfaces on both the obverse and reverse with no mentionable flaws. This is a very interesting, and rare, reverse variety, completely different from the usual Novodel reverse. There is a break in the die (or cud) on the rim at 11:30 and 1 o'clock instead of the usual 4-5 o'clock on most Novodels.
