TLS, one page, 7.75 x 11, King Features Syndicate letterhead, February 19, 1928. Letter to an admirer. In full: “Received your letter and was very glad to hear that you like Tillie. What do you think about Tillie’s trip to Paris? The sketch is below.” Westover has signed at the conclusion, adding a terrific, large ink sketch of Tillie at the bottom, signing again below. In fine condition, with intersecting folds, mild edge toning, and trimmed left edge. Westover began his comic strip Tillie the Toiler for King Features in 1921, establishing a large readership that led to a 1927 film adaptation starring Marion Davies as Tillie.
