Italian composer (1857–1919) best known for his operas, particularly the beloved repertoire staple ‘Pagliacci’ (1892). AMQS on an off-white 10.25 x 8 album page. Leoncavallo pens two bars of music and lyrics from his opera ‘Goffredo Mameli,’ with the lyrics proclaiming “Italia, Italia.” Signed underneath, “Leoncavallo, Lucca 12 maggio 1916.” Scattered toning and foxing, primarily to the edges, otherwise fine condition.
