After eleven years of owning and operating RugTime! we had to make the difficult decision of closing our store. What started as a wonderful and exciting experience of sharing our passion for handmade rugs, has turned into a financial burden.
Since 2008 we've been hearing statements like "we've hit bottom and it's starting to look more promising", or "if you can hold on a little longer, you'll recoup the benefits when the economy turns around". But, in order for us to "hold on a little longer", we must raise another $10,000 - $15,000 every month in order to get to the "Next Month". For a local store supported by a single family, this level of income is impossible to achieve in this current environment.
Since 2000, we've traveled extensively to find unique pieces that no other store has. Because of the quality of our rugs and our discriminating taste, we were able to furnish some of the most exclusive estates in NE Ohio and collaborated with many of the top national designers.
In the next four weeks we intend to sell our entire inventory and vacate our store by March 31st. We are listing over 200 rugs from our own collection with NO RESERVE. All rugs are listed at opening bids which are considerably less than what we purchased the pieces for throughout our career. We guarantee that there won't be anyone, who after seeing the opening bids, will be able to make an excuse that the prices are too high!
To accommodate those wanting to stop by the store and preview lots in person, we are extending our hours to 7 days a week. Monday - Saturday 10 - 5pm, Sunday 1 - 5pm. If you need to visit us after hours, please call us at 440-247-8856 for an appointment.

We encourage you to bid early as local customers are constantly coming in to buy last minute pieces. We will have to withdraw items if a local customer buys the rug in the store prior to the end of the auction. Frequently, we will allow the rug to sell at the opening bid.
