In full: “I enclose you $1.25 which according to your statement is the amount of my dues to date. Please express to the Camp my deep regret that I am compelled to be in Giddings to-morrow at ten o’clock, and to be in Harwood the day following. Hence it will be impossible for me to be preset [sic] at your meeting. Assure them of my great love for the Camp and my regret at being absent so often.” Intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, a few creases and wrinkles, and a uniform shade of toning, otherwise fine condition.
