<B>Rube Goldberg - Daily Comic Strip Original Art, dated 2-12-30 (McNaught Syndicate, 1930). </B></I> Hard-hearted hypocrisy is the target of this rib-tickling daily titled "Hard For a Child to Figure Out." Be sure to take note of the lamp in the background of panel one. Its wacky figural base is a foreshadowing of the offbeat trophy that Rube Goldberg designed for the "Reuben Award," the cartooning award of excellence presented each year by the National Cartoonists Society. The image area of this side-splitting strip measures approximately 17" x 5".
