1) This is a band mace from the Royal Scots Greys. At the very top is a silvered crown on the gilt mace head which has a banner marked "SECOND TO NONE". On the center ridge is engraved "ROYAL SCOTS GREYS". There are ten silvered battle honors on two badges on either side of a silvered crown over a circle marked "NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT" with a thistle in the center. There are three gilt battle honors underneath the central badge. The shaft is cane with silvered chains and there is a 12 inch silvered section at the bottom. Measures approximately 56 inches tall and the bottom 9 inches can be unscrewed. 2) The sash has a dark blue facing with gold lace along the edges. There is a crown at the top over the "ER/II" cypher over "ROYAL/SCOTS DRAGOON/GUARDS" in three lines on raised red felt. There is another crown over a blue circle marked "NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT" around a red background with a band mace and a floral wreath surrounds the blue circle. Underneath is an eagle on two crossed rifles with "WATERLOO" underneath. There are 50 battle honors at the bottom up to the battle of Irrawaddy, the lettering is gold purl on raised red felt. Backed with black leather.

Condition: 1) Very good, the gilt components have a generally bright appearance with some wear at the top and a small dent on the ridge. The silvered components are taking on an aged patina. The cane has some scratches and flaking of the finish. 2) The sash is excellent with only light wear.
