Royal Russian clover leaf trinket, jewel box egg with brooch & pendant. Enamel & gilt over pewter with embedded Austrian crystals. The pieced egg's top lifts up to reveal a gilt interior with an enamel & gilt clover leaf brooch & a tiny enamel & gilt clover leaf egg pendant. 4" H. Comes with gift box. ***The original Clover Leaf Egg is a jeweled Easter egg made under the supervision of the Russian jeweler Peter Carl Faberge in 1902 for Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. It was presented by Nicolas II as an Easter gift to his wife, the Tsarina Alexandra Fyodorovna. It is currently held in the Kremlin Armoury Museum in Moscow, and it is one of the few Peter Carl eggs that have never left Russia.
