<B>Edward VII enameled Gold and Sapphire Royal Presentation Pendant/Brooch</B></I><BR><I>English, circa 1905</B></I><BR><BR>Designed as a white enameled openwork star enclosing the entwined initials <I>ER VII </B></I>for King Edward VII <BR>(r. 1901-1910) set with rose diamonds and small rubies, framed by seven cabochon sapphire collets averaging approx. 3.7 mm, mounted in gold as an adjustable brooch and pendant-1 3/4 in. long <BR><BR>Literature: <BR>Philip Ziegler, <I>Mountbatten, The Official Biography</B></I> (London: Collins, 1985) pp. 34, 101.<BR><BR>Provenance: <BR>Given by King Edward VII to Princess Alice of Greece (1885-1969), eldest Child of Prince Louis of Battenburg (cr.
