Rare Royal Doulton colorway figurine depicting A Jester seated on a column, dressed in a harlequin-patterned costume of green and black with orange trim and bells. This hand-painted figure features the expressive modeling and character detail for which Doulton's theatrical subjects are known. Marked on the underside with the Royal Doulton backstamp and inscribed "Survey Sample," indicating a test or experimental colorway produced in limited quantity. A scarce and desirable example for advanced Royal Doulton collectors.
