Royal Doulton George Tinworth Stoneware Vase, Organ Grinder and Triangle
Royal Doulton stoneware vase designed by George Tinworth, featuring a sculptural relief of two mice at the base, one operating an organ grinder and the other playing a triangle. The upper portion of the vase is formed as a flared trumpet with a ruffled rim. The glaze is applied in tones of grey, blue, and brown, with a mottled and semi-gloss finish. The underside bears an impressed Royal Doulton Lambeth mark along with George Tinworth's monogram. This piece is part of the series of whimsical stoneware works created by Tinworth at the Doulton Lambeth studio during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
