Royal Doulton Figurine, The Moor HN3642 Flambe
A visually arresting Royal Doulton flambe figure titled The Moor, model HN3642, designed by Charles J. Noke. Standing an imposing 18 inches tall, this limited edition version is executed in Royal Doulton's richly glazed flambe palette - an intense blend of crimson, oxblood, and scarlet that heightens the drama and presence of the figure. Depicting a Moorish figure in a sweeping hooded cloak with arms defiantly crossed, the sculpt emphasizes strength, mystery, and stylized elegance. Issued in a limited edition of just 150 pieces, this example is hand-numbered 26 on the base and includes the Royal Doulton backstamp along with the artist attribution. The flambe glaze technique, a hallmark of Doulton's prestige production, produces a luminous, molten surface that makes each example subtly unique. A masterpiece of mid-20th-century ceramic art, modeled originally in 1952 and reproduced in this rare collector's edition.
