Lichtenstein / 2/75 '70 </B></I>and stamped with Gemini chop on a copper plate attached to bottom of base<BR><BR>Provenance:<BR>Leo Castelli (New York);<BR>Acquired in 1975 by Jeffrey Weiss, Dallas, Texas<BR><BR>The brass head was machine profiled, hand broached and polished. The milled steel base is brass plated. The artist created an original cardboard maquette and collaborated directly with Gemini, Los Angeles, in the making of the metal prototype for the edition. The fabrication of multiples was under the direct supervision of Kenneth Tyler and Jess Sanders assisted by Herbert Tomkins, Pete Hoeter and Obed Silverwood.<B>Condition Report:</B> <P>All over wear to patination, scattered minor surface scratches, three small areas with loss to patination: the first measures 1/8th of an inch, the second 1/4th of an inch on the nose, a pin-prick loss to patination on the reverse side to the upper lip, otherwise good condition.</P><BR><BR><b>Shipping:</b> Requires 3rd Party Shipping (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.heritageauctions.com/common/shipping.php">view shipping information</a>)
