Roper repeating shotgun, 16ga, 27” barrel, blued and case hardened finish, varnish wood stocks, serial #516. Refer Flayderman 15-018. The barrel shows approx. 50-70% toning blue finish. The action has drifted to a silvery brown with some traces of case hardening. The stocks are good to very good with some dings, mars, scratches, small imperfections. A couple of screws are replaced, otherwise original overall with good markings on action cover. Shows Amerst markings and 1886 patent. A scarce invention with many interesting early features including its adjustable choke at end of barrel. Est: $900 - $1,800
