<B>Theodore Roosevelt Board Game,</B></I> "<I>Teddy's Bear Hunt</B></I>", 24" x 17.75" board in 18.25" x 12.25" x 1.75" box, Bowers & Hard, Bridgeport, Connecticut, 1907. The lithographed box lid to this game carries a bold red title above a Rooseveltian figure taking aim at a terrified bear. Another such caricature of the president lurks in the background. The board itself consists of a course wending through the woods and resulting in a dead bear oozing blood from its open mouth. Lovely. A green label naming the game is on the board's underside. The game pieces consist of six metallic gun-toting Teddy's of varied hues and one unarmed golden metallic bear. The box is water stained on the sides and moderately worn. The game proper is in very fine condition and shows the effects of normal use.
