We believe these two plates to form either the number "2" or "7" to label a room on the ship. Curved metal plate with two .25-inch beveled screw holes, 1.5 inches apart. Overall length 2.5 inches x 1/8 inch thick. Heavy degradation near screw hole on the tip. Tapered end has broken metal. The smaller plate also has two beveled screw holes, 1.25 inches apart with 2.5inch screw holes, overall length 4 inches. Two of the three end pieces have heavy degradation. Both pieces possibly ferrous in origin.
Provenance: SS Central America Collection
