Color glossy 14 x 11 photo of Bobby Knight and his Indiana Hoosiers meeting Reagan after winning the 1987 NCAA championship, signed and inscribed in black felt tip to Knight, “To Bobby—With best wishes and fond memories of a winning season! Ronald Reagan.” Photo is affixed to a red 14.5 x 11.75 mount, on which Reagan has jokingly added in the lower border, “P. S. Were we laughing at something you said, or at your red blazer?” Matted and framed to an overall size of 19.25 x 16.5. In fine condition, with scattered irregular marks to emulsion (heaviest around George Bush’s arm). Accompanied by a letter of provenance on Steiner letterhead, signed by coach Bobby Knight. The custom of inviting championship teams to the White House grew into tradition during Reagan’s administration, making this an especially relevant piece of history.
