Presidential china from the Reagan White House. Though Reagan's china for State dinners was a red and gold pattern by Lenox, the collection used aboard Air Force One, at Camp David and at the White House are of this design by Fitz & Floyd. White porcelain double-handled bowl and saucer feature bands of navy blue, red and gilt around borders, with gilt presidential seal on the bowl at 6 o'clock. Each piece is stamped underneath, ''White House Service / by Robert C. Floyd / Fitz & Floyd, Inc. / Fine China / 1983''. Bowl measures 4.5'' in diameter across the mouth and just over 2'' in height. Saucer measures 7'' in diameter. Fine condition. With a photo of the service in use, showing Reagan and Bush seated at the table, and a photocopy of a typed letter signed by Reagan to Mr. Floyd thanking him for the china. Its text reads, ''Let me express my sincere gratitude for the magnificent crested china to be used in the White House, at Camp David and aboard Air Force One. The workmanship is outstanding, and I deeply appreciate the time and skill you and your staff devoted to crafting these fine pieces of china. Your gift will be a welcome addition to the White House and will always serve as a special reminder of your friendship...''
