<B>Ron Howard Signed "American Graffiti" Contract.</B></I> A two-page contract on Lucasfilm letterhead dated June 26, 1973, engaging the services of Ron Howard for the role of "Steve" in <I>American Graffiti.</B></I> The movie went on to inspire the TV series <I>Happy Days,</B></I> which Howard also starred in.
