Official Major League Baseball. Hand-signed in blue ink by Ron Hansen (Orioles) & Frank Howard (Dodgers). 
Listed in college at 6'8" and 275 pounds, Frank Howard was an All-American in both basketball & baseball at Ohio State and was drafted by the Philadelphia Warriors of the NBA. He instead signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, where he was named the Minor League Player of the Year in 1959 by The Sporting News after hitting 43 homers in the Pacific Coast League. In 1960, he succeeded Carl Furillo as the Dodgers right fielder & that season was named the NL's Rookie of the Year, with a .268 average, 23 home runs & 77 RBI. It was then that Howard Received His nickname "Hondo" by teammates after a John Wayne film. Ron Hansen turned in a solid 1960 season, filling the Baltimore Orioles urgent need for a quality shortstop, when he appeared in 153 games, finishing with 22 home runs, 86 RBI, 22 doubles, 5 triples, a .255 batting average & a .342 on-base percentage! He was selected for the All-Star Game & earned the 1960 American League Rookie of the Year honors, getting 22 of 24 votes, as well as the TSN Rookie of the Year Award! Rare to have 2 ROYs on 1 ball, let alone both from the same year!
