Hardcovers, 8.75 x 11.5, totaling 1947 pages. Volume one chronicles in great detail the preparations for the Games, ranging from the torch relay to ticket distribution; volume two documents the celebration of the Rome 1960 Summer Olympics and results of the athletic events, including a depiction of Muhammad Ali—then Cassius Clay—on the podium with his gold medal in the light heavyweight division. The first volume boasts a presentation inscription by Mario Saini, a member of the organizing committee.
