A large and impressive Roman marble statue of a goddess, probably Laetitia, c. 1st Century AD, wearing chiton and himation, her left hand resting on an anchor, her right arm was aloft, perhaps holding a wreath. Statues of this minor goddess, which represented Joy, are quite rare, with most images coming from coins. H: 34 ½ in (72.4 cm). Said to be from Ostia. Ex Noble Collection, New Jersey.
