<B>Rolling Stones</B></I> <B><I>Beggars Banquet</B></I></B></I> <B>Original Cover Art Slick.</B></I> The Rolling Stones finished recording <I>Beggars Banquet</B></I> in July 1968, but the album met an unexpected delay when both Decca Records and London Records rejected the cover design which featured a graffiti-covered lavatory. The Stones held back the album, but the stand-off ended in November when the band gave in and allowed the album to be released with a less controversial cover. (The original cover art was finally released with the 1984 CD remastering of the album.)
