This is an exceptionally rare original Roll, Jordon, Roll circa 1933 first edition by Julia Peterkin with photographic studies by Doris Ulmann. This is published by The Bobbs-Merrill Company and was printed by bound by Braunworth & Co. The piece shows the red clothe bound finish with marked binding all original and has a clear dust cover. Peterkins and Ulmann printed also did a printing of this book with copper engravings which can be worth over $36,000. This piece shows the photograph illustrations (no etchings) of the Gullah descendants of African-American slaves living in South Carolina and Georgia. Measures 9"x6.5" and 1.25" thick.
