ANS at the conclusion of a letter sent to him by Hall of Fame President Paul S. Kerr, one page, 8 x 10.25, National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum letterhead, May 24, 1962. Hornsby writes: "Thank you for this letter. I am sorry we won't be able to attend game. I hope some time in future. Sincerely, Rogers Hornsby." The letter invites him to "Cooperstown for our Hall of Fame Day on July 23rd." Affixed to a slightly larger mount. In fine condition, with staple holes to the upper left corner. Hornsby had been inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1942; had he been able to attend the ceremonies two decades later, Hornsby would have witnessed Bob Feller, Bill McKechnie, Jackie Robinson, and Edd Roush join him in the hallowed Hall.
