S. - Original Cover Art for Mad in Brazil #86 (E.C. Publications, 1992). This quirky cover for the 86th Brazilian edition of Mad magazine, is an acrylic masterpiece of wackiness, aping the then-current superhero flick "Batman Returns." Illustrated by Brazilian artist, Rogerio W. S., this 11.5" x 12.5" image is hand-painted on a sheet of 14.5" x 14" illustration board. The likenesses of Danny DeVito as the Penguin and Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman are hysterical, not to mention Alfred E. in bat-shorts diving into the scene. The work is clean, with some staining along the outside edges on the left and the right edges. Signed by Rogerio W. S. at the bottom right. Includes a VG copy of Mad in Brazil #86. Estimate: $500-up

<!--

 Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions

No Prior Data Recorded

<font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium.
