<B>Rock 'n' Roll Show of Stars Memorial Coliseum/Winston-Salem 1957 Handbill (Super Attractions, 1957).</B></I> Rock 'n' Roll shows during the late 1950s were usually multi-artist events, with each act performing three or four numbers, including their big hit of the day. Here's a great example of a handbill for such a show -- and what a show! The headliners included Fats Domino, LaVern Baker, and Frankie Lymon, but the huge list of supporting acts also included Chuck Berry, the Crickets (with Buddy Holly), the Everly Brothers, the Drifters, even Paul Anka! All this and more, for a cover charge of only $1.50 to $3 -- wow!
