Hudson’s US passport, 20 pages, 3.75 x 6, issued April 28, 1960, signed twice in blue ink, “Roy Harold Fitzgerald PKA Rock Hudson” (once upon his passport photo, again in the passport itself). Numerous stamps include trips to London, Rome, Mexico City, Mazatlan, and Curacao. Passport renewal stamp touch the top of his birth name, slight water staining along the bottom, slight corner bend to the second page, and expected government punch holes, otherwise in fine condition.
The Illinois-born actor was Hollywood royalty at the time this document was issued, having just starred in the 1959 release, Pillow Talk. With his next film, Lover Come Back, still a year away from release, Hudson used this passport as he crisscrossed the world, likely coupling promotional work for his films with relaxing holidays. A personal artifact that could easily be the cornerstone of any Rock Hudson collection!
