Rochester Daisy Mines Company with shipping order form, and individual certificates from the Minnehaha Mining Company of Rochester, Nevada; Lincoln Hill Milling and Mining Company; Rochester Raven Mines Company 2); Rochester Silver Corporation; Rochester Ella Mines Company; Rochester Hills Mining Company; Rochester-Snowstorm Mining Company; and Rochester Home Trail Miners Company. A New Year`s postcard postmarked Rochester, Nev., Dec. 1910; two covers of Engineering and Mining Journal with stories on Rochester, Nevada`s Newest Boom Camp (Vol. 95, 15 February 1913, No. 7) and The Rochester Cyanide Mill (Vol. 103, 20 January 1917, No. 3); a bill of sale from Verdi Lumber Company, Oreana, Nevada, and a personal letter from Rochester both dated September 1927; and a postal cover from Great Western Mines Co. postmarked Lower Rochester. Rochester covers the area of Rochester Heights, Upper Rochester, and Lower Rochester along Rochester Canyon. Gold was first discovered in the 1860s, but it was not until Joseph Nenzel discovered silver ore in 1912 that Rochester became a true boomtown.
