<B>Robert Todd Lincoln Autograph Letter Signed,</B></I> as Ambassador to the Court of Saint James. The letter is matted, with the visible portion measuring 4.75 x 7.5, on Legation of the United States London stationary, 27 September 1889. The entire piece is framed to an overall size of 12" X 17". A brass nameplate underneath the image reads ROBERT TODD LINCOLN / ELDEST SON OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN / AUTOGRAPH LETTER AS SEC. OF WAR. In the letter, written to Edwin H. Terrell, United States Ambassador to Belgium, Lincoln tells of sending him a copy of the <I>Monthly Army List</B></I> (British). Lincoln served as ambassador to the United Kingdom from 1889 to 1893 under President Benjamin Harrison.
